Abbot Shi Zhen Xu

    The Chen-Wu Shaolin Kung Fu System was founded in 1965 by Grandmaster Li Chen-Wu in Taiwan who was the son of Xu Chen Wu was given the purmision by his father Xu Chen Wu to develope and expand the Chen Wu Shaolin systen and given the seal of the Chen Wu  head of family . His purpose was to organise, research, and promote authentic Shaolin Chen Wu Kung Fu Style thought to him by Liu Tang Yi & his farther  Xu Chen Wu & Shi Zhen Xu .

Grandmaster Li Chen-Wu son of Xu Chen Wu was sent to the Shaolin Temple at the age of 11 by his farther and was one of the Deciples of Great Grandmaster Shi Zhen Xu Abbot of the temple who gave him his deciple name ( Shi Su Xing ) who incidently also two other students named ( Shi Su Xi and Shi Su Yun ) Abbot Zhen Xu named them the three young Dragons , also known as the Spirit Teacher Shi Zhen Xu was a Master of  连手短打; Lian Shou Duan Da ( Chain Hands and Short-range combat ) as tought in the Songshan Temple in the Songshan Montain rang near Luoyang also mastered Pa Quan ,Xiao Hong Quan , Da Hong Quan among others and weapons such as Plum Blossem Sword ,Twin Daggers - Short Stick - Rope Dart - Meteor Hammer- Emel Piersers and Li Chen Wu ( Shi Su Xing ) quickly Mastered  五合拳; Wu He Quan ( 5 Combinations style ) also & Weapons - Double Hook Sword ( Tiger Hooks ) Nine Section Chain Whip - Snake & Cresent Spear - Rope Dart  having had prevous training from a very young age with Liu Tang Yi who had extensive background of Wu Style Shaolin 5 Animal Kung Fu from Jiu Hau Shen Temple in Chang Zhou in the Jiang Su Province in China . He was a skilled fighter, who was well known for not knowing what it was like to strike a man twice. As a testament to the skills of Liu Tang Yi, it was notable that two of his most famous students were Li Chen Wu & Zhen Chi-Pai:
  Li Chen-Wu, who was a Close Protection Agent for to dignitaries in the Republic of China, and trainer of many bodyguards an Close Protection Personal throughout China, Europe and USA ;
  Zhen Chi-Pai also trained bodyguards to the leader of the People’s Republic of China, Mao Zhedong and still thought ontil he passed away  aged 96 yrs;
  and Grand Master Xu Chen Wu , was a bodyguard to the last Emperor of China, Pu Yi.

  Grandmaster Liu Tang Yi & Xu Chen Wu both recognised the need to preserve and spread kung fu.Shaolin Chen Wu Familie Kung Fu System and the thousands of years of research and knowledge that was associated with it were in danger of being lost forever due to the Cultural Revolution. Many of the Masters of Kung Fu who were persecuted and executed in China during the Cultural Revolution.  Fortunately Taiwan became a sanctuary of Kung Fu, because many of Kung Fu Masters were involved in the military of the Republic of China that fled to Taiwan. Seeing that Kung Fu was at risk, Grandmaster Liu & Grandmaster Xu had the inspiration and spirit to recognise that it was time to re-generate the true teaching of Chen Wu Kung Fu, which up until that point had been secretive, and the knowledge was very closely guarded.

 When he passed away in 1965 at the age of 83yrs , Grandmaster Liu was shortly followed by the passing of his great friend Grandmaster Xu Chen Wu in 1969 aged 88yrs who have still guarded his friendship with Grand Master Liu right up to the time of his death and had passed on their teaching to their disciples and  had instructed more than 20 thousand Bodyguards & Close Protection Personal and are on the teaching staff of over 30 Personal Protection Agencies around the Globe. The Chen Wu Shaolin Kung Fu system has become the one of the true and most respected independent Kung Fu systems in Chinese Gong Fu history..

  Grandmaster Li’s who’s effort in the development the Shaolin Chen-Wu System played a crucial part in the role to place Grand Master Lui Tang Yi & Grand Master Xu Chen Wu in the history of Chinese Cultural Martial Arts by bringing the accessibility and popularity of Chen-Wu Kung Fu training back into the Chinese, Taiwanese Cultural and opening up the opportunity to learn true Shaolin Chen-Wu Kung Fu to Western Communities.

  The new Shaolin Chen Wu Kung Fu & Treatment Centre teaching the Shaolin Chen-Wu Kung Fu & Qi Gong System by promoting Authentic Traditional- Shaolin Chen-Wu Style Kung Fu with a history of over 1500 years through the Sprit and Memory of Grand Master Lui Tang Yi & Grand Master Xu Chen Wu . Since 1988, we have been a part of your community, helping to educate and strengthen children and adults in a healthy, safe traditional manner to which Grand  Master Lui Tang Yi & Xu Chen Wu would be proud of through his disciple Grand Master Li Chen-Wu who at his present age of 98 yrs has passed on his knowledge to 3 of his most trusted and loyal students Shifu Ma Ling Wu 10th Level wife of Li Chen Wu who passed away in 1979 aged 78yrs. , Shifu Peter Yann 9th level and Shifu Terence M. Kinsella 8th Level Shifu ( Shi De Xue ) name given by his teacher Shi Su Xing )who is the highest level European Teacher of the Shaolin Chen-Wu System outside China. Who has now opened the  ( Chen-Wu ) Shaolin Lotus Ireland Kung Fu & Treatment Centre in Newbridge who has himself been a Close Protection Bodyguard to Celebraties & Business CEO's throughout Europe and has trained many Bodyguards through the International Protection Services & Boduguards Plus. Shifu Kinsella is one of only Irish Kung Fu Teacher to appear on the cover in the International Fighters Magazine and is only one of 8 Top Teachers from Ireland to be featured. Shifu Kinsella also has accumplished the record Tile brake of 1,500 1" Roof Tiles with his bare hands in 10 min 6.5 sec. for the Spina bifida Association of Ireland. He has also been respectively premoted by Professor Gearge Canning 10th Degree of the World Mugendo Kickboxing University to 8th Degree Black Belt in Mugendo Kickboxing and has also won International Titles along with students he has trained in the World Sports Kickboxing Association & World Professional Kickboxing Association . He also was the Trainer to Colin Farrell when he came to Ireland on a brake from shooting the Dare Devil Film assigned by Fox Univesal Film Studio through  Dave Lee ( His Trainer in the US ) & Peter Lewis from Fighters Magazine. Shifu Kinsella also holds a Degree in White Tiger Kung Fu ( Bak Fu Pai ) granted to him by Shifu Martin Donnelly , He also studied Muay Thai under Master Sken & Master Toddy  also has a Boxing & Judo background .He is skilled in Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatments such as Tui Na ( Acupressure Massage ) , Ba Guan  ( Fire Cupping - Slid Cupping ), Huo Long ( Fire Blanket Treatments ) along with Bio Magnitic Cupping & Soma Cupping , Sports Injury Treatment.
